Loop Check Sheet Generator (Printable)
Enter your I/O modules and get a printable loop check sheet with a row for every point and blank columns to tick off and sign during commissioning.
Sheet title and address format
The patterns use the same tokens as the I/O list builder. Check the first addresses against your PLC software.
Modules (one per line)
Type is DI, DO, AI or AO. Leave the description blank for spare points. After building the sheet, use the buttons below the table to print it (choose landscape for a wide sheet) or to export it.
How to use the sheet
A loop check proves that each I/O point works from the field device to the controller and the operator screen. For every row, the columns are for:
- Field device: the device is installed, labeled and (for inputs) can be operated, or (for outputs) responds.
- Wiring: the wiring and terminals match the drawings, and the signal gets from the device to the right terminal.
- PLC value: the controller shows the right state or value. For analog points, check low, mid and high values.
- HMI: the operator screen or alarm shows the same thing.
- Initials and date: who checked it and when.
For analog points, the PLC analog scaling calculator gives the expected counts at each test value.
Worked example
The three sample modules (16 inputs, 8 outputs, 4 analog inputs) give a 28-row sheet. The first row is tag PB_01 at Local:1:I.Data.0 and the last is PT_04 at Local:3:I.Ch3Data. Print it, take it to the panel and initial each row as it passes.
This tool is provided for convenience. Verify generated addresses against your PLC software before using the sheet.
